Tierra del Sol Gallery is proud to present Michael LeVell: Salient Forms, the most comprehensive survey of the artist’s five decades of artmaking. A founding artist of Tierra del Sol’s Art Studios program, launched in 1989, LeVell has produced more than 5,000 works across 37 years, including sketches, still lifes, interior studies, landscapes, ceramics, vases, and small ceramic furniture.
The exhibition highlights LeVell’s command of multiple mediums and a practice shaped in part by his experience of being legally blind. His intimate rendering of detail compels slow looking, revealing the distinctly emotive quality of his work and a dimensional poetics grounded in family, place, touch, and creativity.
Organized by Tierra del Sol Gallery Director Paige Wery and independent curator jill moniz, Salient Forms is accompanied by a full-color catalog.

Tierra returns to New York for its third year at The Armory Show! This solo booth exhibition will center the work of Ericka Lopez, bringing together tactile vessels, textile works, and mixed-media wall pieces.
The presentation features a new group of ceramic works that marks an exciting development in Lopez’s practice. While retaining her intuitive, hand-built forms, these recent ceramics reference recognizable subjects, including animals, objects, and other forms drawn from the world around her.
Visitors are invited to touch Lopez’s pieces, mirroring the artist’s own handling of clay, textiles, and found objects. Across the walls, text is represented in Spanish, Lopez’s native language, English, and Braille, prioritizing communication that is both multilingual and sensorial. Together, the works remind us that experience is felt through the body, through texture, sound, movement, memory, and the many ways we take in the world around us.
