Join us July 27, 6-9 pm for this inaugural show of Tierra Del Sol Gallery, formerly The Good Luck Gallery.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, these drawings by artist Evan Hynes are worth novels. Using super hero characters, celebrities, and mythical creatures, Hynes creates stories that transform the familiar narratives into tales of his own. Tierra Del Sol Gallery is pleased to present the work of Evan Hynes (b.1990) in Rebel Alliance.
With a striking pallet of rich colors, Evan creates gripping images that house tales from his uncontainable imagination. Text inhabits most of the drawings, giving you context and insight into Evan’s acute sense of humor. You can find him in a self- portrait as Spiderman or see an image of the Grim Reaper in a high school senior portrait. People in his everyday also appear in drawings taking form of unstoppable heroes and ominous villains.
Evan has participated in many group exhibitions including at First Street Gallery, The Good Luck Gallery, and Outsider Art Fair NY. This is Evan’s first solo show.
