David Pagel, Rebecca Hamm and Paige Wery come together to talk about their diverse relationships with artist Helen Rae and her amazing work. Each panelist has spent years respectively writing about Helen in important publications, working along side her in the studio and launching her professional career.
David Pagel is a professor of art theory and history in Claremont Graduate University’s Art Department as well as an art critic and curator. Pagel has written about Helen’s work and curated her into several group shows over many years.
Rebecca Hamm is the Director of Arts for Tierra del Sol and has worked alongside Helen since Helen’s first day at Tierra over thirty years ago. Hamm continues to work with Helen today.
Paige Wery is the director of the Tierra del Sol Gallery in Los Angeles and gave Helen her first solo gallery show in 2015 when Helen was 76 and thus launching her internationally successful art career.
