Dog and Pony

Sarit Halo, Taking Care of People, Gouache and pen on paper, 18 x 25″, 2018

Dog & Pony is joining forces with Tierra del Sol Gallery, Southern California’s foremost exhibitor of work by disabled artists. Under the stewardship of gallerist Paige Wery, Tierra Del Sol’s artists have been exhibited in top tier art fairs and have been acquired by some of the best museums in the world.

Ericka Lopez creates intricate, tactile work in both textiles and ceramics. Her fiber sculptures are stitched using threads, buttons, beads, fabric scraps, and found objects. Her proficiency with hand building techniques in clay enable Lopez to create large scale vessels which are distinctive, dynamic, and beautifully structured. Lopez hopes her works can be experienced through an exploration of touch.

Sarit Halo captivates with her imaginative, playful imagery, bright colors, and crisp narratives that invite the viewer into alternate worlds. Her work is often brilliantly patterned and may include an insightful portrait of an interesting person or animal. In her pictures Halo intuitively mixes colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic to create unique visual effects.

All sales go directly to supporting the artists, providing studio space, career support, and materials for artists to craft their work.

The show opens July 24 and runs through September 25, 2022.
